Croatia's tennis beauty bad-mouthed by Nick Kyrgios in Stan Wawrinka sledge
Tennis bad boy Nick Kyrgios has provoked outrage after jibes at rival Stan Wawrinka, picked up by microphones during a second round clash at the Montreal Masters, alleging that his fellow player Thanasi Kokkinakis had slept with his opponents girlfriend, Donna Vekic. The sportsman's outburst was recorded court-side mid-match at the event, which is one of the major tournaments in the build up to the US Open. "Kokkinakis banged your girlfriend," Kyrgios, who is like Kokkinakis is Australian, can clearly be heard saying. "Sorry to tell you that, mate." Kyrgios is no stranger to controversy. At Wimbledon earlier this year he was given a code violation for swearing, hugged a ball-boy, bounced his racket into the crowd and had an argument with an umpire over changing his socks. After Kyrgios' trash-talking Wawrinka, the Swiss star progressed in the tournament after Kyrgios retired despite leading 6-7, 6-3, 4-0. Although Wawrinka showed no hostility towards Kyrgios at the end of the match, shaking hands with the 20-year-old from Canberra, he later took to Twitter to vent his anger and disappointment in a series of posts. "So disappointing to see a fellow athlete and colleague be so disrespectful in a way I could never even imagine. "What was said I wouldn't say to my worst enemy. To stop so low is not only unacceptable but also beyond belief. "There is no need for this kind of behaviour on or off the court and I hope the governing body of this sport does not stand for this and stands up for the integrity of this sport that we have worked so hard to build." In April, double grand slam winner Wawrinka, aged 30, announced that his marriage to Ilham Vuiloud, a Swiss TV presenter and former fashion model, was over. But who is the woman caught in the middle of tennis' public love triangle? According to reports it is 19-year-old rising star Vekic. IBTimes UK gets to know the athlete little better.

Born in Osijek, Croatia, she now lives in Monte Carlo.

My guess is that the photographer went to art school and had a vision of a golden girl in a crazy wig representing something or other. All I know is that April has got a killer body and any chance I get to look at it is a good one. I don't care if she's purple, that is some hot stuff. Si chiama Conrad, è un procione e suo malgrado è diventato protagonista di un vero e proprio fenomeno mediatico nato a Toronto ed esploso in breve tempo in tutto il mondo. Tutto è iniziato quando Conrad è stato trovato morto su un marciapiedi. Erano le nove del mattino del 9 luglio e un cittadino ha richiesto l’intervento dell’Animal Service per rimuovere il corpo del povero animale. Il cittadino twitta, l'Animal service risponde. Sembra una storia di civiltà urbana inimmaginabile alle nostre latitudini. Ma qualcosa, si inceppa. l tempo passa, e nessuno interviene. Alcuni passanti della zona, tra ironia, protesta e pietà, iniziano a lasciare intorno all’animale fiori e candele. A seguire appaiono una foto commemorativa, una scatola e un biglietto con l’hashtag #DeadRacoonTo. Il trend diventa virale quando il consigliere della città Norm Kelly, star cittadina dei social, inizia a commentare quanto sta accadendo richiedendo a sua volta il pronto intervento dell’unità animali. Centinaia di persone hanno preso parte alla protesta che in un crescendo di partecipazione ha portato all’apertura di un profilo Twitter dedicato all’orsetto lavatore che conta finora più di 650 seguaci. Una storia ai limiti dell’assurdo che si è conclusa solo in tarda serata quando il Servizio animali è intervenuto per rimuovere il povero procione. Neanche l'intervento dell'unità animali ha fermato la popolarità di Conrad. Dopo ore dalla rimozione del corpo, i suoi seguaci continuano a 'omaggiarlo' sul social network

l'invasione dei granchi mutanti
Un esercito di granchi rossi (tuna crabs) che sembrano delle piccole aragoste hanno invaso una spiaggia della California.
Il litorale di San Diego sembra una distesa rosso vivo con migliaia di animaletti arenati sulla sabbia. Gli esperti affermano che i piccoli crostacei normalmente vivono al largo della penisola messicana della Baja California e che nella zona intorno alla contea di San Diego non si vedevano da diversi decenni. Tuttavia i granchi sono stati spinti verso nord dalle correnti di acqua calda. "Una volta che arrivano così vicino a riva non possono andare da nessuna parte, non sono abbastanza forti per riuscire a nuotare verso il largo", ha spiegato Donna Kalez, manager del Dana Wharf Sportfishing.
