ALI E NINO
LE STATUE DELL'AMORE A BATUMI
Questa enorme scultura rappresenta l'inizio e la fine di una storia d'amore. Le statue, alte circa 8 metri, rappresentano due innamorati che si guardano. Tramite un meccanismo si muovono e si vengono incontro fino a baciarsi, per poi attraversare uno il corpo dell’altra e infine lasciarsi. L'idea è ispirata al romanzo “Ali and Nino: A Love Story” di Said Kurban (1937). I protagonisti sono Ali, un ragazzo musulmano proveniente dall'Azerbaijan, e Nino, principessa georgiana cristiana. I due giovani, nonostante siano innamorati, sono ostacolati da eventi storici, religione ed etnia. L’installazione si trova sulla spiaggia di Batumi, in Georgia ed è stata creata dalla scultrice Tamara Kvesitadze. Lo spettacolo, ogni giorno alle 19 in punto, dura 10 minuti.

Arriva dall'America la nuova moda che impazza sui social network, la sfida è quella di trovare uno sfondo strano e imprevedibile
Nudo come un verme! O, in questo caso, come un pollo.
Sui social network impazza la moda del "frozen chook" e tutti si fanno fotografate nella posizione del pollo congelato. Inginocchiati, senza vestiti, con la fronte a terra e le braccia piegate in avanti, a imitazione delle confezioni che si vendono nei supermercati. A differenza dell'Ice Bucket Challenge di due estati fa, sembra non esserci a monte uno scopo benefico o "particolare", se non la ricerca di paesaggi sempre più strani e imprevedibili. La tendenza, nata in America tra un gruppo di amici, si è diffusa a macchia d'olio ed è sfociata in una pagina Facebook che, al momento, conta quasi duemila iscritti.

A bordo dei vagoni non sorride nessuno. Tutti con lo sguardo fisso davanti a loro o al massimo fuori dal finestrino. E' uno spaccato della vita quotidiana dei viaggiatori della Grande Mela che ogni giornio prendono il il metro per andare al lavoro, a scuola, a fare acquisti nel centro della città. Come documentano alcuni scatti pubblicati in Rete e ripresi dai quotidiani in Asia. «Le ho detto: “Su dai, guardiamo un paio di cartoni animati sul mio cellulare, poi andiamo da papà”», ha raccontato il medico dell’ospedale universitario nella provincia dello Zhejiang al quotidiano cinese People's Daily Online. Ovviamente, le (toccanti) foto del chirurgo cinese, vice direttore dell'unità cardiologica, che tiene in braccio la bambina chiamata Xin Er (non è il suo vero nome) stanno facendo il giro dei social. Gli utenti in Cina sono rimasti colpiti dalla delicatezza dei modi del dottore. Anche lui, infatti, è padre di una bambina di sei anni. «Sono estremamente grato al chirurgo per come ha calmato mia figlia», ha sottolineato il padre. L’operazione, spiegano i media cinesi, ha avuto successo. La ragazzina è stata dimessa martedì.

Jennifer Lien, fourty-one years-old, known for her role as Kes in three seasons of Voyager, allegedly showed her breasts and behind to her neighbour Carey Smith’s children outside her home in Harriman, Tennessee. ‘All of a sudden, here come the shirt up,’ Smith recalled in an interview with CNN. ‘She started flashing and, “Woo hoo,” and I said, “And what respect is that for kids?” There was none. And then she turned around and dropped her pants.’ According to police statements seen by CNN, Lien was lying naked on her couch when officers issued a warrant for her arrest on September 3, but she ‘refused to get dressed’. Eventually, the report claims, the detectives had to dress her and carry her into their car as she threatened to kill them. Jennifer Lien, who remains in custody, denies the allegations. She is being held on a $2,500 bond.
